SEMALAM merupakan pendengaran rayuan berhubung isu 5% cukai jualan petroleum antara Petronas Vs Kerajaan Sarawak yang mana sebelum ini Petronas telah membuat prosiding mahkamah tanpa kehadiran wakil Kerajaan Negeri Sarawak pada Disember 2019.
Berikut merupakan keputusannya seperti yang telah diwar-warkan oleh YB Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali, Menteri Muda Undang-undang, Hubungan Persekutuan dan Pemantauan Projek Sarawak yang juga ADUN Semariang di laman mukabuku miliknya.

Today at the Court of Appeal, Putrajaya.
1) Today, the Appeal of the State Government and the Comptroller of State Sales Tax to set aside the High Court decision granting leave to Petronas for Judicial Review on the Constitutionality of the State Sales Tax Ordinance and to quash the Notices of Assessment issued to Petronas was dismissed by the Court of Appeal.
2) The application by Petronas for the said Judicial Review will now be remitted for hearing to the High Court in Kuching.
3) The State Government remains firm and resolute that Petronas pay its 5% SST due as required under the State Sales Tax Ordinance and will continue to pursue for payment and defend any actions by Petronas that sought to deny the State of such rights.

Walau apapun keputusan, kita amatlah berharap agar Kerajaan Negeri Sarawak jangan sesekali berundur walau sejengkal. Perjuangan ini masih belum selesai.
